EllisRadio.com - Railers Fall 20-8 to Meade |
The Railers football season ended on Friday night as the hosting Meade Buffaloes capitalized on numerous Ellis turnovers and sent Ellis home with a 20-8 victory. With the win, Meade will be hosting Smith Center next week in sub-state action, while Ellis closes out at a fantastic 10-2 record. EllisRadio.com wants to thank the Railer men for providing us an exciting season of football to follow, and a special hats off to this year's seniors who have contributed towards a historic season for Ellis High School. We look forward to returning to video coverage next year. We'll now gear up for the upcoming basketball season, so be sure to keep your eyes open for announcements! Thank you to all of our viewers and sponsors; we do still have some sponsorship spots open for basketball and would be glad to chat with you if you are interested. Just visit the Contact Us page in the left menu at EllisRadio.com to hunt us down! |

Help the Ellis Fire Dept Restore the LaFrance! |
If you've ever attended the Ellis Jr. Free Fair, you know how much enjoyment all the kids get out of rides on the ol' American LaFrance firetruck. However, as the LaFrance aged over the years, the operation of the truck became much more difficult, resulting in having to discontinue the free rides around town on the truck.
Today, the Ellis City Volunteer Firefighters are taking the initiative to restore the early 20th century firetruck to its full glory, both mechanically and cosmetically. The restoration process is underway, but we could still use your donations to fully repair the truck for many generations to enjoy again. To find out how you can help with the restoration of this piece of Ellis history, either use the Contact Us link on the left side of this page or visit with an Ellis city firefighter.
